Roy Roberts was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. In his early acting career, Roberts appeared in such films as "Guadalcanal Diary" (1943), the Anne Baxter biographical drama "The Sullivans" (1944) and "Tampico" (1944) with Edward G Robinson. He also appeared in the drama "Roger Touhy, Gangster" (1944) with Preston Foster, "Wilson" (1945) and the drama "A Bell For Adano" (1945) with John Hodiak. His film career continued throughout the forties and the fifties in productions like the crime picture "The Reckless Moment" (1949) with James Mason, the action film "Chain Lightning" (1950) with Humphrey Bogart and "Borderline" (1950). He also appeared in the adventure "The Palomino" (1950) with Jerome Courtland. Toward the end of his career, he continued to act in "The King and Four Queens" (1956) with Clark Gable, the Efrem Zimbalist Jr. drama "The Chapman Report" (1962) and the Brian Keith adaptation "Those Calloways" (1964). He also appeared in "I'll Take Sweden" (1965) with Bob Hope and the Rod Taylor dramatic adaptation "Hotel" (1967). Roberts was most recently credited in "The Christmas Angel" (NBC, 1998-99). Roberts passed away in May 1975 at the age of 69.
