RuPaul was a prolific actor who created a name for himself largely on the big screen. RuPaul started his Hollywood career by acting in comedies like the Alfre Woodard film "Crooklyn" (1994), "The Brady Bunch Movie" (1995) and "Wigstock: The Movie" (1995) with RuPaul. He also appeared in "To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar" (1995) with Wesley Snipes and Patrick Swayze and "Blue in the Face" (1995) starring Harvey Keitel. His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like the Paul Mercurio action flick "Red Ribbon Blues" (1996), "Edtv" (1999) with Matthew McConaughey and the sports comedy "But I'm A Cheerleader" (2000) with Natasha Lyonne. He also worked in television around this time, including a part on "Son of the Beach" (1999-2002). RuPaul had a number of different projects under his belt in the early 2000s, including "The Eyes of Tammy Faye" (2000), "Who Is Cletis Tout?" with Christian Slater (2002), "Project Runway," "The Biggest Loser" (NBC, 2004-2015) and "Beauty Shop" (2005) starring Queen Latifah. RuPaul most recently worked on "Good Work" (2014-15).
