Actor Ryan Robbins began his career with a supporting role in the indie romance "Horsey" in 1997. Making his first television performance the following year, he steadily began increasing his roles into the 2000s with bit parts in film and television. His big break came in 2003 when he played an armistice officer on the sci-fi miniseries "Battlestar Galactica." Nominated for several Emmys, the series spawned a television series of the same name, which ran from 2006 to 2009, and also the Emmy-nominated spin-off "Caprica," with Robbins appearing in both. Gaining recognition as a sci-fi actor, Robbins was cast in another popular sci-fi series, "Stargate: Atlantis," as Ladon Radim, appearing in several episodes in 2004 and 2006, which led to other roles. He was cast in the short-lived drama "Alice, I Think" in 2006 and in the comedy "jPod," about video game designers. By far his greatest role on television has been as Henry Foss on the sci-fi series "Sanctuary." Also working in film, Robbins has had small parts in the big-budget thrillers "Paycheck" and "Passengers." Taking on indie projects as well, he has had supporting roles in films such as "Smile of April," written and directed by Jessica Brajoux, and "Sheltered Life," directed by Carl Laudan.
