Sally Blane got her start in the world of acting at the ripe age of 17. Blane's earliest roles were in film, including "Casey at the Bat" (1927), "King Cowboy" (1928) and "Her Summer Hero" (1928). She also appeared in "Fools For Luck" (1928), "Tanned Legs" (1929) and "Half Marriage" (1929). She kept working in film throughout the thirties, starring in "Spirit of Notre Dame" (1931), the drama "Ten Cents a Dance" (1931) with Barbara Stanwyck and "The Star Witness" (1931). She also appeared in "The Phantom Express" (1932) with J Farrell MacDonald. Film continued to be her passion as she played roles in "City Limits" (1934), the Buster Crabbe drama "She Had to Choose" (1934) and "The Silver Streak" (1934). She also appeared in "Angel's Holiday" (1937) and "One Mile From Heaven" (1937). Blane more recently appeared in "On Trial" (NBC, 1955-56). Blane's husband was Norman Foster and Blane had two children. Blane passed away in August 1997 at the age of 87.
