Sara Haden was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Early on in her acting career, Haden landed roles in various films, including "The White Parade" (1934), "Anne of Green Gables" (1934) with Anne Shirley and "The Life of Vergie Winters" (1934). She also appeared in "Music in the Air" (1934) with Gloria Swanson, the Henry Fonda remake "Way Down East" (1935) and "Magnificent Obsession" (1935). She continued to act in productions like "You're Only Young Once" (1938), "The Secret of Dr. Kildare" (1939) and the comedy "The Hardys Ride High" (1939) with Lewis Stone. She also appeared in the Lewis Stone comedy "Andy Hardy Gets Spring Fever" (1939). Nearing the end of her career, she continued to act in "The Courtship of Andy Hardy" (1942), the Joan Crawford action flick "Above Suspicion" (1943) and the Lucille Ball adaptation "Best Foot Forward" (1943). She also appeared in the comedy "The Youngest Profession" (1943) with Lana Turner and the musical "Thousands Cheer" (1944) with Gene Kelly. Haden last acted in "Andy Hardy Comes Home" (1958). Haden's husband was Richard Abbott. Haden passed away in September 1981 at the age of 84.
