Screamin' Jay Hawkins produced music that was featured in many Hollywood productions. Screamin' Hawkins's career in acting began with his roles in various films like the Tim McIntire musical "American Hot Wax" (1978), the drama "Two Moon Junction" (1988) with Kristy McNichol and the drama "Mystery Train" (1989) with Masatoshi Nagase. He also appeared in the Forest Whitaker action flick "A Rage in Harlem" (1991). Screamin' Hawkins also contributed music to the comedy "Stranger Than Paradise" (1984) with John Lurie and the comedy "Elvira, Mistress of the Dark" (1988) with Elvira. In the nineties, Screamin' Hawkins's music continued to appear on the silver screen, including in films like "Natural Born Killers" (1994) with Woody Harrelson, the Bill Pullman drama "Lost Highway" (1997) and the Ian Hart comedy adaptation "Mojo" (1998). Screamin' Hawkins's music was also featured in "Just Like Heaven" (2005), the Joel Edgerton comedy "Kinky Boots" (2006) and "Perfect Stranger" (2007) with Halle Berry. His music was also featured in "Crazy Love" (2007) with Burton Pugach and "Good People" (2014). Screamin' Hawkins's music was most recently used in the Dakota Johnson hit dramatic adaptation "Fifty Shades of Grey" (2015).
