Attractive brunette former model who appeared in ingenue roles in several important English films of the early 1960s, notably "The Entertainer" (1960) "Saturday Night and Sunday Morning" (1960) and "Alfie" (1966); Field's career petered out in the late 70s, but she has latterly carved a niche as a character actress in such films as "My Beautiful Laundrette" (1985) and "Hear My Song" (1991).
