With deep wells of talent, Stan Margulies was able to earn an Emmy for his outstanding work in television. Working in the film industry, Margulies earned a production credit on "40 Pounds of Trouble" (1963) with Tony Curtis, the Stuart Whitman comedy adventure "Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines" (1965) and the comedic adaptation "Don't Just Stand There!" (1968) with Robert Wagner. He also appeared in the James Garner adaptation "The Pink Jungle" (1968) and "If It's Tuesday, This Must Be Belgium" (1969). Margulies continued to focus on film through the seventies, producing movies like "Visions of Eight" (1973). Additionally, Margulies produced "Visions of Eight" (1973). Margulies most recently produced "10,000 Black Men Named George" (Showtime, 2001-02). Margulies was nominated for an Outstanding Limited Series Primetime Emmy Award for "Moviola: This Year's Blonde" in 1980 as well as for an Outstanding Limited Series Primetime Emmy Award for "The Thorn Birds" in 1983. Margulies won an Outstanding Limited Series Primetime Emmy Award for "Roots" in 1977 as well as an Outstanding Limited Series Primetime Emmy Award for "Roots: The Next Generations" in 1979.
