Stanley Andrews was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Andrews began his acting career appearing in various films, such as "Escape From Devil's Island" (1935), the Patricia Ellis comedy "Hold 'Em Yale" (1935) and the Buster Crabbe western "Nevada" (1935). He also appeared in "All the King's Horses" (1935) with Carl Brisson, the Marlene Dietrich comedic adaptation "Desire" (1936) and the Richard Dix adventure "Devil's Playground" (1937). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like the adaptation "The Blue Bird" (1940) with Shirley Temple Black, the sports drama "Maryland" (1940) with Walter Brennan and the biopic "Kit Carson" (1940) with Jon Hall. He also appeared in "King of the Royal Mounted" (1940) with Allan Lane. In the latter half of his career, he continued to act in the Clayton Moore western "Adventures of Frank and Jesse James" (1948), "Blondie's Big Deal" (1948) with Penny Singleton and "Sinister Journey" (1948). He also appeared in "Leather Gloves" (1948) and the western "Panhandle" (1948) with Rod Cameron. Andrews was most recently credited in "Cliffhanger" (1993) with Sylvester Stallone. Andrews passed away in June 1969 at the age of 78.
