Known for her stage work as well as television and films, British actress Susannah Fielding began acting in local theater productions at the age of 13. Growing up in the London area but also spending time in Granada, Spain, the bilingual Fielding studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where she honed her stage skills in plays such as "Tales from Ovid" and "The Tempest." Following her 2007 graduation, the actress appeared in such diverse works as the experimental play "The Hour We Knew Nothing of Each Other," Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing," and Tennessee Williams's "The Rose Tattoo" at the National Theatre in London. After winning acclaim for her stage work, Fielding was cast in her first television role, the 2009 version of "She Stoops to Conquer." More TV work followed, in episodes of the British institutions "Doctor Who" and "Comedy Lab," among others, and in 2010 Fielding was nominated for the prestigious Ian Charleson Award for her stage work. The slick thriller "4.3.2.1." marked Fielding's debut in a feature film, and she followed it with the romantic comedy "First Night" before heading back to TV for a guest spot on the long-running mystery "Midsomer Murders." In 2012, Fielding returned to the big screen as Julie in the romantic comedy "The Knot," starring Mena Suvari and Matthew McNulty.
