Born in 1986 and raised in Adelaide, Australia, Teresa Palmer began acting in her youth and began to train in the craft shortly after high school. Her first lead role was playing a pregnant high schooler in the Australian independent drama "2:37" (2006). She was nominated for an Australian Film Institute Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. In 2006, she also appeared in "The Grudge 2" opposite Sarah Michelle Gellar. In 2007, Palmer moved to Los Angeles, and immediately landed a number of substantial supporting roles, most notably as the object of Adam Sandler's crush in the family comedy "Bedtime Stories" (2006) and in nearly the same role, this time opposite Jay Baruchel, in the film "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" (2010), which also starred Nicholas Cage. In a departure from her 'love interest' streak, Palmer played hard-edged alien Number Six in the film "I Am Number Four" (2011), then back to her bread and butter, opposite Topher Grace in "Take Me Home Tonight" (2011). In a bit of a twist, Palmer was the object of affection of a zombie (played by Nicholas Hoult) in "Warm Bodies" (2013). She also appeared in a couple of darkly comic thrillers, "Cut Bank" (2014) and "Kill Me Three Times" (2015). Her highest profile film, a remake of the extreme sports action thriller "Point Break" (1991), was released in late 2015.
