Texas Battle studied kinesiology at the University of Texas, and then worked as a substitute teacher before leaving his home state of Texas to pursue an acting career in Hollywood. He first appeared on screen in 2002 in the risqué Playboy TV reality-series "7 Lives Xposed." It was three years later however, that his career really began to take off. That year he was in four different roles, including recurring parts on episodes of the drama "One Tree Hill," and the comedy "All of Us," as well as in his first film role in the drama "Coach Carter." 2006 saw him in two more film roles, in the gambling drama "Even Money," and the horror picture "Final Destination 3." 2008 marked another big year for the actor, with him taking on a recurring character in two episodes of the short-lived comedy "12 Miles of Bad Road," which starred Lily Tomlin, appearing in the straight-to-video comedy "Senior Skip Day," and joining the regular cast of the CBS daytime soap opera "The Bold and the Beautiful." As the character Marcus Walton, so far appearing in over 300 episodes, Battle is the first African-American to have a major storyline on the soap. He later appeared in the blockbuster "Dragonball: Evolution," and starred in the horror film "Boggy Creek." In 2011, he took on yet another starring role in the mockumentary comedy-horror series "Death Valley."
