Tom Helmore was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Helmore began his acting career with roles in such films as the Jeanette MacDonald musical comedy "Three Daring Daughters" (1948), "Scene of the Crime" (1949) and the action film "Malaya" (1950) with Spencer Tracy. He also appeared in the musical comedy "Let's Do It Again" (1953) with Jane Wyman and "Trouble Along the Way" (1953). He kept working in film throughout the fifties, starring in the Jane Wyman dramatic adaptation "Lucy Gallant" (1955), "The Tender Trap" (1955) and the Gregory Peck comedy "Designing Woman" (1957). He also appeared in the Jean Simmons musical comedy "This Could Be the Night" (1957) and the James Stewart dramatic adaptation "Vertigo" (1958). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "Count Your Blessings" (1959) with Deborah Kerr, the Alan Ladd dramatic adaptation "The Man in the Net" (1959) and "The Time Machine" (1960) with Rod Taylor. He also appeared in the dramatic adaptation "Advise and Consent" (1962) with Henry Fonda. Helmore more recently acted in the Luke Halpin adventure "Flipper's New Adventure" (1964). Helmore passed away in September 1995 at the age of 91.
