Tom Rosenberg is the founder and chairman of Lakeshore Entertainment, in addition to being an Academy Award-winning film producer. Rosenberg's production career originally began in the early 1990s, when he served as executive producer of the 1991 music "The Commitments." After the surprise success of "The Commitments," further executive producer and producer credits came Rosenberg's way throughout the 1990s (the satiric feature "Kids in the Hall: Brain Candy," the controversial biopic "The Hurricane," etc.). During the same decade, Rosenberg co-founded the independent film production company Lakeshore Entertainment with the late Ted Tannebaum. The company's first hit film would turn out to be 1999's "Runaway Bride" (a romantic comedy that reunited Richard Gere and Julia Roberts of "Pretty Woman" fame), while another blockbuster followed five years later, 2004's boxing drama "Million Dollar Baby." Directed by Clint Eastwood and produced by Rosenberg, the film starred Eastwood, Hilary Swank, and Morgan Freeman, and won a total of four Oscar Awards in 2005, including "Best Motion Picture. Rosenberg received further acclaim in 2007, when he landed an Independent Spirit Awards nomination for the 2006 film "The Dead Girl."
