Tom Troupe's acting talents were showcased on the big screen many times throughout the course of his Hollywood career. Troupe began his acting career in film, appearing in such titles as "The Devil's Brigade" (1968) with William Holden, the dramatic biopic "Che!" (1969) with Omar Sharif and the comedy "Kelly's Heroes" (1970) with Clint Eastwood. He worked in television in his early acting career as well, including a part on "Star Trek" (NBC, 1966-69). He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Cheers" (NBC, 1982-1993). He also starred in the TV movies "The Alpha Caper" (ABC, 1973-74) and "Off the Minnesota Strip" (ABC, 1979-1980). During these years, he additionally appeared in film, receiving a role in the Kristoffer Tabori dramedy "Making It" (1971). Toward the end of his career, he tackled roles on "Murder, She Wrote" (CBS, 1984-1996) and "Frasier" (NBC, 1993-2004). Troupe focused on film in more recent years, appearing in the comedy "Summer School" (1987) with Mark Harmon and the dramatic adaptation "My Own Private Idaho" (1991) with River Phoenix. Troupe more recently acted on "ER" (NBC, 1994-2009).
