Despite being tall, dark, and model-handsome, Canadian-born actor Victor Webster worked as a stockbroker and ran an import/export company--rather than hitting the modeling runway--prior to being recruited for his first acting role. He launched his career with repeat guest appearances on two soaps--"Sunset Beach" and "Days of Our Lives"--in the late '90s, before being cast as one of the three central leads on the syndicated sci-fi series "Mutant X" in 2001. Webster's Brennan Mulwray was a genetically engineered superhero with electricity-based powers whose primary function was to find and protect his fellow "New Mutants." The series lasted three seasons and was canceled amid numerous infringement-related lawsuits. In '00, Webster appeared in his first feature film with a small part in the action sci-fi feature "Gangland," followed by another small role in the far more lighthearted "Bringing Down the House," the '03 comedy with Queen Latifah and Steve Martin. His later film projects tended toward the more obscure. On mainstream television, Webster played a cupid on the final episodes of the hit fantasy series "Charmed"; he wound up marrying Alyssa Milano's Phoebe in lieu of finding her a match. He also played Caleb Brewer on the unpopular single-season revival of the primetime soap "Melrose Place" in '09. In 2010, Webster guest-starred on the comedy crime series "Castle." Off-screen, aside from his business endeavors, Webster is a black-belt martial artist, with an undefeated amateur kick-boxing record.
