Australian-born actress Virginia Hey split her childhood between her homeland and England. After the striking young woman grabbed the attention of a talent agent, she became a fashion model. Not long after she graced the covers of magazines in Europe and Australia, she made her film debut in the Australian action movie "Mad Max 2: Road Warrior," a sequel to the adventure flick "Mad Max." Her eye-catching portrayal of the Warrior Woman led to recurring roles on such popular Australian television programs as "Prisoner," which was set in a high-security prison for women, and the suburban-set soap opera "Neighbours." Ironically, the beautiful blonde is best known for her portrayal of the bald and blue-skinned priestess Pa'u Zotoh Zhaan in the sci-fi adventure series "Farscape." Hey earned fans and praise for her work on the show, but left after three seasons, claiming she was tired of the cosmetic upkeep and its toll on her health. She longed to stop shaving her head and eyebrows and revealed that the blue makeup she was required to wear caused health problems, including internal bleeding. After this, Hey walked away from acting and pursued her interest in homeopathy and herbal medicine full-time. A trained Reiki and meditative healer, Hey launched her own brand of high-end vegan soy candles in 2010.
