French-Canadian actor Yan England displayed a natural talent and dedication to his craft that made him one of the most prolific and versatile actors in his native country. He launched his acting career when he was 11 years old, guest starring on television serials such as "Ent'Cadieux" (1993-99), "Les débrouillards" (1989-2002), and "Haute surveillance" (2000). England also had featured roles in films like "Opération Tango" (1999), "Headquarters: Warsaw" (1999), and the comedy "La vie après l'amour" (2000). In 2002, England lent his talents Stateside with a minor role as a high school football player on the hit action-drama series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (The WB, 1997-2001; UPN, 2001-03), which followed a young woman (Sarah Michelle Gellar) destined to fight evil forces. He continued to make inroads in his native country with a recurring role on the drama series "Providence" (Société Radio-Canada, 2005- ) and guest starred on the popular teen comedy sitcom "Une grenade avec ça?" ("A grenade with that?") (VRAK.TV, 2002- ). England also wrote, produced, and directed short films, including "Moi" (2007), about a 15-year-old boy whose life collapses after making and screening his first film. In 2009, England's career further soared after he joined the casts of the series "Yamaska" (TVA, 2009- ) and the medical drama "Trauma" (Société Radio-Canada, 2010- ).
