Yasuaki Kurata was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Kurata found his beginnings in film with roles in "Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters" (1985), the Jet Li action movie "Fist of Legend" (2001) and the Cyril Mourali action film "Samourais" (2002). Kurata began to focus on film after appearing in the action flick "So Close" (2003) with Karen Mok, the Jeon Ji-hyeon action picture "Blood: The Last Vampire" (2009) and the Jackie Chan crime drama "Shinjuku Incident" (2010). He also appeared in "Legend of the Fist: The Return of Chen Zhen" (2011). More recently, Kurata acted in the foreign "The Last Tycoon" (2012) with Chow Yun-Fat.
