As a director and producer, Quebec native Yves Simoneau worked on many high-profile projects both in Canada and in the United States A news cameraman by the age of 17, Simoneau went on to direct several films at a young age, including the documentary " Pourquoi l'étrange Monsieur Zolock s'intéressait-il tant à la bande dessinée?." But it was his 1986 crime drama, "Intimate Power," that found him his earliest success. His directorial work carried on into the 1990s with television films like "Amelia Earhart: The Final Flight" and "36 Hours to Die." His 2000 mini-series on Nazi war criminals, "Nuremberg," with Alec Baldwin and Brian Cox, brought him the most crossover success in America. He then began producing and directing for American TV on such shows as the enigmatic serial drama "The 4400." A 2007 production of "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee" won Simoneau huge accolades. The ambitious film explored the indignities suffered by Native Americans throughout American history. It won an Emmy for Outstanding Made for TV Movie; Simoneau was nominated for his direction. This led to more high-profile work, including executive producing and directing episodes of the hit remake of the sci-fi series "V."
