A producer of high-quality television programming, Gregg Fienberg has overseen such distinguished series as "Twin Peaks," "Deadwood," and "True Blood." While studying business at UCLA, he passed up an interview at a top accounting firm to work as a production assistant on a Roger Corman film and was subsequently drawn into the business, working his way up from early stints as location manager for the sex comedy "Hardbodies" and production coordinator on the offbeat drama "The Milagro Beanfield War." He managed production of "U2: Rattle and Hum" and produced Madonna's "Express Yourself" video as well as part of her documentary "Madonna: Truth or Dare." He next made the leap to television, producing David Lynch's groundbreaking series "Twin Peaks," as well as the subsequent prequel feature "Fire Walk With Me." He won an Independent Spirit Award for his work on "Gods and Monsters," the dramatization of the final days of "Frankenstein" director James Whale, before joining forces with HBO and embarking upon a run of series as executive producer, beginning with the comedy "The Mind of the Married Man" and several episodes of the Depression-era circus drama, "Carnivále." He followed this with the highly acclaimed Western series "Deadwood," for which he also directed several episodes, and continued working with creator David Milch on his subsequent project, "John from Cincinnati." Also for HBO, he oversaw the pilot of the polygamy yarn "Big Love" and worked with creator Alan Ball on his vampire series, "True Blood."
