Jon Ronson

Jon Ronson was a Welsh journalist, documentary filmmaker, and nonfiction author whose best-known works included the best sellers The Men Who Stare at Goats (2004), which was made into a film by George Clooney, and The Psychopath Test (2011). Inspired by the New Journalists of the 1960s such as Tom Wolfe and Hunter S. Thompson, Ronson regularly wrote himself into his stories, creating a deadpan comic persona that was amplified when he began appearing on the radio series "This American Life." Ronson moved from documentary filmmaking and journalism into feature films with the screenplay for the critically-acclaimed indie comedy-drama "Frank" (2014), inspired by his time touring with the offbeat British musician Frank Sidebottom.
