Kim Gyngell was widely known for his acting on the big screen. Gyngell's acting career began mostly with his roles in various films, such as "The Chain Reaction" (1980) with Steve Bisley, "Wills and Burke - The Untold Story" (1986) and "Bachelor Girl" (1987). He also appeared in "With Love to the Person Next to Me" (1987) and "A Cry in the Dark" (1988) with Meryl Streep. He also appeared in the TV movie "The Christmas Visitor" (Disney, 1987-88). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like the comedy "Backstage" (1988) with Laura Branigan, "Ground Zero" (1988) and the thriller "Grievous Bodily Harm" (1989) with Colin Friels. He also appeared in "Heaven Tonight" (1990), the Andrew Shephard comedy "What the Moon Saw" (1990) and "Holidays on the River Yarra" (1991). More recently, he continued to act in the John Waters drama "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" (1992), the comedy "Love and Other Catastrophes" (1997) with Alice Garner and "The Wog Boy" (2000) with Nick Giannopoulos. He also appeared in the Guy Pearce comedy "The Hard Word" (2003). He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Nightmares & Dreamscapes: From the Stories of Stephen King" (TNT, 2005-06). Gyngell most recently acted in the comedy "The Little Death" (2015) with Josh Lawson.
