Lee Weaver is a veteran character actor, having maintained steady work with a certain level of obscurity through over 125 film and television roles. Even after marking his 50th year on screen in '05, Weaver has continued to find work in high profile productions. He made his debut on television in '55, with the recurring role of Lagi on the adventure series "Sheena: Queen of the Jungle," which was based on a comic book character of the same name; the subject perhaps foreshadowed one of his early movie roles, in the blaxploitation film "Cleopatra Jones" in '73. In '69, Weaver played Brian Kincaid, the brother of Bill Cosby's Chet Kincaid on "The Bill Cosby Show," which, while only a seven-episode run, led to more work with the comedy mogul, on "The Cosby Show" and its spinoff, "A Different World," in the late '80s and early '90s. Weaver's biggest role came as Ricardo Williams on the single-season comedy "Easy Street," in '86 and '87, on which he costarred with blonde pinup Loni Anderson and Jack Elam, an even more decorated character actor than Weaver himself. Through the '90s and '00s, Weaver was reduced primarily to single-episode guest spots on TV--everything from "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" in '91 to "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" in '08. Yet he also landed several not-insignificant supporting parts in fairly important films, including "How Stella Got Her Groove Back" in '98 and "Donnie Darko" in '01.
